Elder Empowerment Training & Resource Center
Practical tools for Michigan senior-care providers
Elder Empowerment is expanding its education and provider-support work into a growing library of training, orientation and documentation resources for adult foster care homes, assisted living communities, memory care programs, home-care agencies and caregivers.
Our goal is simple: help small care organizations spend less time rebuilding the same forms and more time training staff, organizing records and supporting the people they serve.

Built from hands-on experience
Resources designed for everyday care operations
Care providers need materials that are clear enough to use during a busy shift and organized enough to support supervision, follow-up and record review. Elder Empowerment is developing practical tools based on real questions from caregivers, agency owners, adult foster care providers, assisted living communities and memory care teams.
Available and planned resources may include printable packets, recorded lessons, live training, checklists and customizable templates. Contact us to ask what is currently available or to discuss a resource your organization needs.

Common questions
Training and resource center FAQs
Are these resources approved by the State of Michigan?
No state approval or endorsement is implied unless a specific course or resource expressly carries documented approval. Providers should compare every resource with current LARA rules, official guidance, payer requirements and facility policy.
Can I customize a packet for my business?
Customization may be available depending on the request. A consultation can help identify what can be adapted and which details must come from the licensee, employer, clinician, attorney or other responsible professional.
Will a checklist guarantee that my facility passes an inspection?
No. A checklist can support preparation and internal review, but it cannot guarantee a licensing, audit, payment or inspection outcome.
Can Elder Empowerment provide staff training?
Training and in-service options may be available based on the topic, audience and scheduling. Some subjects require a particular credential, approved curriculum, hands-on demonstration or facility-specific competency verification.
